North Kashmir schools face dearth of teaching staff, parents appeal authorities to look into the matter
Day after authorities’ reopened schools across Jammu and Kashmir after a long spell of Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, several parents of north Kashmir on Tuesday alleged insufficient teaching staff in the area and appealed authorities to look into the matter for the bright future of students.
According to KNS, several educational institutes including GHSS Qalamabad, HSS Sanzipora and HSS Haril are having an acute dearth of teaching staff due to which educational affairs have been affected badly there.
Parents complained that these institutions are functioning without the faculty of Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Biology, Geography, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Islamic Studies, Vedic Studies and Kashmiri.
Parents questioned the decision of authorities of opening schools in absence of teaching staff ,they called it sheer mismanagement on part of authorities .
They appealed higher authorities to treat the problem and depute sufficient teaching staff for the bright future of students.
They said students of far off places failed to get online classes in pandemic days due to low internet speed.
Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara Abdul Hameed Fani told KNS that he will look into the issue. “I will look into the issue and probe whether allegations of parents are true”, he said.
