No GST Hike on Kashmir’s Handicraft: CM Omar 

Srinagar, Dec 21: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today put aside all rumours and the speculations regarding the hike on the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on Kashmiri handicrafts. 

On microblogging site X, the Chief Minister said, “There had been a lot of speculation that GST on shawls will be hiked, so we had come prepared to ensure that wouldn’t happen. Thankfully, it wasn’t taken up, and we will also ensure that in the future also, something like this is not considered,” he stated.

 The artisans and business community have welcomed the confirmation from the chief minister himself.
