Nine tractors seized for illegal mining in Pahalgam

Anantnag: The fisheries department today seized nine tractors after they were illegally ferrying
minerals in several areas of Nallah Lidder in pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Talking to Arising state an official of fisheries department said that cracking down the whip on the illegal mining of minerals in the Nallah Lidder, based on specific information, a team led by Fisheries department under the supervision of Assistant Director Fisheries Anantnag ,Mohd Sidiq Wani raided in several areas of Nallah Lidder in Pahalgam area and seized 9 tractors involved in illegal mining.
During the inspection, nine tractors ferrying illegal mining have been seized, official said.
Adding that a case has been registered and further investigation is underway in this regard.
Further action is expected in this regard in the coming days, the official said.
