Anantnag, May 22:- Urging the government to bring Andernagh and Sherbagh onto the tourism map and expedite developmental works to preserve their pristine glory, National Conference (NC) leader and District Vice President Anantnag, Imran Amin Shah, stated that it is commendable how the current NC-led dispensation under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is working tirelessly to pull Jammu & Kashmir out of its current morass and rectify the mistakes committed by the previous PDP regime.

During a day-long tour of interior Anantnag town, Shah, while speaking to media, accused the PDP of hoodwinking the people of Anantnag with hollow promises. “They only worked for their personal comfort and luxury, amassing corruption and promoting nepotism, while the common people suffered due to rising unemployment and despair,” Shah said.

He further blamed the PDP’s misgovernance for the situation in J&K today, including the abrogation of Article 370. “It is due to the PDP’s policies and misdeeds that J&K had to witness such a grave loss,” Shah alleged.

He urged the PDP to introspect rather than make false accusations against the NC, affirming that the National Conference remains committed to its promises and will always work for the peace and prosperity of the state.

Highlighting the need for immediate public infrastructure improvements, Shah called upon the administration to repair and maintain the toilet block near Sherbagh and ensure proper sanitation and other developmental works are undertaken for public use. He emphasized that the Sherbagh area, which holds historical significance, deserves proper facilities to accommodate the large number of visitors it attracts.

He was accompanied by Senior member NC Gh Mohideen Kasid, Hilal Ah shah, Fayaz Ah, Gh Mohideen khan and others.
