Tral, 21 September: The residents of Naibugh village in the Tral sub-district are irked over the poor condition of the main road in the village.

A group of locals told Arising State that they have been demanding that the district administration repair   Naibugh road from the Nowdal village to the Dadasara area for decades. However, the authorities had not taken any steps to repair the road and their pleas have rather fell on deaf ears.

They said that road is full of large potholes and broken brims giving a tough time to its residents and worsens during the monsoon and winters.

“We are facing inconveniences on daily basis, as the main road leading towards Naibugh village has turned dilapidated. We have been requesting authorities to ensure repairs on the road for many years but no concrete step is being taken in this regard,” a local Mohammad Shaban told Arising state.

Another resident said that all other roads have been macadamized in the last few years but their village has been totally ignored by authorities.

He said that their children suffer a lot while commuting on these roads, as the roadsides have also turned dense with grass in view of the lack of repairs.

The residents demanded immediate repairs on the road so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
