MP Akbar Lone’s son detained by Sumbal Police; alleges family

Police on Friday detained sitting MP from north Kashmir Advocate Mohammad Akbar Lone’s son when he was on his way from Srinagar to Naidkhai.

As per reports, family members of Hilal Akbar Lone said that he was detained by Sumbal Police when he was on his way to Naidkhai.

“Hilal was arrested near Sumbal checkpost while he was on way to Naidkhai”, the family claimed.

Notably, Hilal is the son of senior NC leader and sitting MP from north Kashmir Mohammad Akbar Lone. Lone was himself detained for months after New Delhi abrogated Article 370 on August 5, 2019.
