Miscreats tried to attack PAGD rally in Kupwara; ensure stringent action: Mehbooba to admin

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday urged police and civil authorities to initiate an inquiry and ensure stringent action against two youth held during an election rally in north Kashmir’s Kupwara along with petrol bottles.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Mehbooba said, “Two miscreants tried to hurl a petrol bomb at PAGD candidate Tariq Majnon’s rally in Wavera, Kupwara. They were caught & handed over to the police. Request @hello_anshul @KKSharmaJK @JmuKmrPolice to initiate an inquiry & ensure stringent action”.

Earlier SSP Kupwara Sriram Ambarkar said that the duo have been taken into custody and further questioning taken up.
