Minor siblings die in midnight blaze in Kupwara village; 3 houses are gutted

Kupwara, Nov 20 : A massive midnight blaze that destroyed three homes in Diver village of Lolab in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district claimed the lives of two minor boys.

The fire broke out from a residential house in Diver village and quickly engulfed nearby homes, as per sources.

During the incident, two minor brothers identified as Amir Ahmed Khan and Sabzar Ahmad Khan of Mohammad Akbar Khan were burned to death, and three homes were damaged.

Locals and police helped put out the fire later with assistance from the fire and emergency department.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire, according to the official.
