MHA Grants Apex Scale Promotions to Kansal, Yadav, Joshi; Keshav Chandra Also Elevated
New Delhi, June 30: The Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the Proforma Promotion to Apex Scale for three AGMUT cadre IAS officers of the 1995 batch—Rohit Kansal, Sajjan Singh Yadav, and Varsha Joshi—all of whom are currently serving on Central Deputation.
The promotion will take effect from the date their immediate junior in the cadre assumes charge.
Separately, senior IAS officer Keshav Chandra (AGMUT cadre, 1995 batch) has been promoted to the Apex Scale (Level-17 in the Pay Matrix), effective July 1, 2025, or from the date he assumes charge, whichever is later.
The promotions were based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, which convened on December 19, 2024, and were issued with the approval of the competent authority by Rakesh Kumar Singh, Under Secretary to the Government of India.
