Mass promotion: Class 11th students block road in North Kashmir

Magam, Oct 12,: Scores of students from Class 11th blocked the road in North Kashmir demanding mass promotion.

Eyewitnesses told a local news agency that students of 11th Class from Girls Higher Secondary School Magam blocked Tangmarg- Narbal road at Magam near Old Hospital for traffic and demanded mass promotion.

The student both boys and girls hit to road and disrupted the vehicular movement for some time. Commuters faced a lot of problem due to road block. The students raised slogans against Board of School Education.

The protesting students said that in view of the prevailing Covid-19 situation, they suffered a lot and their academic session was adversely affected as they failed to concentrate on studies.

They said mass promotion is the only solution to their sufferings. “We are suffering from mental agony and want Board of School Education to declare mass promotion for Class 11th,” the protesting students said.

Witnesses said that a police team rushed to spot and pacified the protesting students with the assurance that matter will be raised with the concerned agency.
