Market checking conducted in Pampore, 09 meat shops sealed, Rs 6000 fine realized

Pulwama,17 Nov: In a market checking, conducted in Pampore town of Pulwama, on Tuesday, nine meat shops were sealed for violating guidelines, while as Rs.6000 was realized as a fine from erring sellers.
The checking was jointly conducted by tehsil administration Pampore, and Jammu Kashmir Police, in which meat sellers, who were involved in overcharging, were checked and fined.
Moreover, nine meat selling shops were sealed, on the spot, by the market checking team, for violating the guidelines.
Besides that, a fine was realized from the erring vegetable vendors and other shopkeepers as well.
The team was headed by Tehsildar, Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi Ud din, who said that people should cooperate with authorities in maintaining the genuine rates.
He said that “if some people are getting ready, to buy meat on exorbitant rates, it directly makes the poor people compelled to buy with the same rates”
The official appealed to people to inform them immediately if the rate lists are violated by anyone.
Pertinently, a market checking was also held in Tral town, in which erring traders were fined.
The official there has said that checkings will remain to continue as to maintain the rates and to safeguard the guidelines.
