Man injured in Bandipora car accident dies at SKIMS Soura

A 45-year-old man injured in a car accident on Srinagar-Bandipora road over the weekend succumbed at a hospital in Srinagar late Thursday night, his family said today.Irshad Ahamad Sofi,  was injured when the car he was driving skidded off the road and rolled downhill at Churthung mode near SK Payeen village of this north Kashmir district on Sunday.

Sofi received severe head injuries while also mangling his car from which he was pulled out by the locals in an unconscious condition.

Sofi was immediately moved to the District hospital where doctors referred him to SKIMS Soura.

However, Sofi passed away on Thursday night after showing no signs of recovery at the tertiary care facility.

After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
