LG Sinha inaugurates DDRDO’S 500 bedded hospital in Jammu

The hospital has a capacity of 125 ICU beds, fully air-conditioned Covid facility at Bhagwati Nagar equipped with 24 hours oxygen facility would significantly ramp up the healthcare infra to deal with Covid19 pandemic, according to KNS correspondent.

Appreciation and congratulations to DRDO Secretary Dr. G Satheesh Reddy and his entire team working round-the-clock to build this well-equipped medical facility in record time,.” Office of LG wrote on its Twitter handle.

Healthcare infra in Jammu and other areas of the division continues to be the backbone of health services. This hospital too is expected to become operational in 3-4 days, after trial run of all the facilities, it reads.

In the management of ongoing pandemic and future challenges, DRDO hospital, with efficient mechanism will play an important role adding to the government’s effort, Office of LG Spokesperson said.

“Our robust health infrastructure with decentralized community healthcare system in the form of Panchayat Covid Care Centres has an extensive outreach even in far flung areas.Effective and rapid response system has been devised to quickly mobilize the physical and human resources within healthcare delivery apparatus,” it said.
