Kashmir Schools Suspend Classes for Primary Students Due to Heatwave
Srinagar, July 28: The divisional administration of Kashmir has announced the suspension of classes for students up to the primary level in both government and private schools on July 29 and 30 due to a persistent heatwave.
In an official order, Divisional Commissioner V K Bidhuri stated that while students will not attend classes, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to continue their duties.
As per sources Bidhuri’s order reads, “In view of the persistent heatwave prevailing in the valley, classwork for students up to the primary level in both government and recognized private schools shall remain suspended on 29th and 30th July 2024.”
The directive emphasizes that despite the suspension of classes for students, all school staff must still report to work as usual.
