J&K Tong-Il Moo-Do Association Holds State-Level Referee Seminar in Srinagar
Over 100 participants from across the UT attend the two-day event
Srinagar, May 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Tong-Il Moo-Do Association successfully organized a two-day State Referee Seminar and Orientation Workshop on May 17 and 18, 2025, at Hotel Zaryab in Nishat Shalimar, Srinagar. The event brought together over 100 coaches and student referees from all districts of the Union Territory, aimed at enhancing their officiating skills and familiarizing them with the latest national-level rules and guidelines.
The seminar was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Gulzar Ahmad, former ZPEO of the Youth Services and Sports Department and Head of the Physical Education Department at Green Valley Educational Institute, Srinagar.
Several dignitaries graced the occasion as Guests of Honour, including Mr. Amir (Owner, Hotel Zaryab), Mr. Showkat Ahmad, Mr. Umer Bhat (Managing Director, Musuada Foundation), Mr. Mukhtar Ahmad Mir (Owner, Shining Star, Pampore), and Mr. Naseer Ahmad (ZPEO, Baramulla). District secretaries from across Jammu and Kashmir were also present.
All participants were awarded certificates upon successful completion of the seminar. In addition, the Association’s executive body convened during the workshop and passed key resolutions, including:
The organization of district-level championships across J&K in the coming months.
Hosting of the State Tong-Il Moo-Do Championship in Srinagar in August 2025.
Submission of a formal bid to host the National Tong-Il Moo-Do Championship in December 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of the Association commended the dedication of the participants and the collaborative efforts of coaches, athletes, and officials. “This workshop sets a new standard for fair play and professional refereeing across Jammu & Kashmir,” he said.
