J&K Reshuffle: Shreya Singhal Gets Additional Charge as Information Director

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday ordered the transfer and posting of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and JKAS officers, with immediate effect, handing the additional charge of Director of Information, Jammu and Kashmir, to IAS officer Shreya Singhal.

As according to an  order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD)  Ms. Shreya Singhal, IAS (AGMUT: 2020), currently serving as Managing Director of the J&K Tourism Development Corporation and holding the additional charge of CEO of JK ERA, has been entrusted with the charge of the post of Director, Information, J&K, in addition to her existing duties. She is set to assume the charge on April 1, 2026.
In a separate key move, Nazim Zai Khan, IAS (AGMUT: 2013), who was serving as Mission Director for Mission Vatsalya/Shakti (ICPS), has been transferred and posted as Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs for the Kashmir division.
Nazim Zai Khan replaces Dr. Sagar Doifode Dattatray, IAS (AGMUT: 2014), who has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government in the Agriculture Production Department .Dr. Dattatray has also been given additional charge of the Mission Director for the Holistic Development Agriculture Programme (HADP) and the Jammu and Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project (3KCIP).
Meanwhile, the government also ordered the posting of Amit Gupta, IAS (AGMUT: 2023), who was awaiting adjustment, as Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Pahalgam.
Rajesh Kumar Shavan, JKAS, serving as Special Secretary in the Tribal Affairs Department, has been transferred and posted as Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs for the Jammu division. He will take over from Rifat Kohli, JKAS, who has been directed to await further orders in the General Administration Department.
The order, which detailed a total of six key transfers and postings, also included the divestment of an additional charge for Mahima Madan, IAS (AGMUT: 2021), who has been relieved of her additional role as Additional Secretary in the Resident Commission, New Delhi.
