Imran Ansari appeals authority to allow MBBS students in FMGE
People’s Conference General Secretary Imran Raza Ansari Saturday appealed authorities to allow those MBBS students completed their degrees abroad in forthcoming FMGE examination as they could not receive their degrees due to Covid-19 restriction.
According to a statement issued to KNS, PC Gen Secretary said, “Students who passed their final professional MBBS examination in March 2020 from different countries including Bangladesh, couldn’t travel back to their respective countries for retrieving their degrees due to COVID pandemic and international travel restrictions”.
He said the students want to appear in the upcoming Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) to be held on 31st August 2020.
He also said that since the (NBE) has made it mandatory to submit the degree certificate, it is very difficult for students to appear as most of them don’t have the certificates.
He requested the concerned authorities to let them appear in the upcoming examination on a provisional certificate or mark sheet and allow them to submit all the necessary documents later on when conditions improve.
