Govt Degree College Organises Anti Tobacco Rally

Tral: Anti Tobacco Rally under the banner of Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan was organised by the Department of Zoology in collaboration with the Debates,Seminar and Cultural Committee of the college on 29th of August 2023.

The rally was flagged off by the Worthy Principal of the college Prof Mushtaq Ahmad Malik along with other faculty members. Worthy Principal in his speech urged students to always abstain from all kinds of addiction to enjoy serene and healthy life.

Prof. Shaheen Khursheed, Head Department of Zoology in his speech deliberated upon the hazardous effects of tobacco at individual as well as at community level.

He also assured that the guidelines for making our campus tobacco free have already been implemented in letter and spirit.

Students from various semesters displayed placards and raised slogans during the rally urging all to stop the menace of consumption of tobacco in all forms. Prof. Syeda Laila Khalid Convener Debates, Seminar and Cultural Committee delivered Vote of Thanks.
