Govt allocates Districts to 5 Cabinet Ministers to improve public services

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has assigned districts to ministers to enhance coordination, ensure effective implementation of development programs, and closely monitor public services.As per government order number 2057-JK (GAD), of 2024, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister, will oversee the district of Jammu, Poonch, Anantnag,Shopian districts.Minister Javed Ahmed Rana, will handle Doda, Rajouri, Pulwama, Baramulla districts.Sakeena Masood (Itoo), Minister for Health & Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, is responsible for Kupwara, Srinagar, Kathua, Samba.Javed Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, will manage Ganderbal, Budgam, Kishtwar Ramban.

Satish Sharma, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Youth Services & Sports, will oversee Udhampur, Reasi, Kulgam, Bandipora districts.This new district allocation aims to streamline governance and accelerate the implementation of key government initiatives across the Jammu and Kashmir.
