Government of Jammu and Kashmir Notifies Advisory Board Changes
Jammu, August 7, 2024: In a significant development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued a notification under S.O. 382,a copy of which lies with Arising State , dated August 7, 2024, invoking powers conferred by section 8(a) read with section 2(f) of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974 (Act No.52 of 1974). As per the notification, the Advisory Board constituted under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act, 1978 (Act No.VI of 1978) shall also function as the Advisory Board for the purposes of the Conservation of Foreign Exchange and Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act, 1974.
The notification was issued by the Finance Department of Jammu and Kashmir under the direction of the Lieutenant Governor.
