GDC Tral organises Pre-admission mela for students seeking admission in IGNOU

Pulwama: Govt Degree College Tral (LSC-1269) on Sunday organised a mega pre-admission Mela for the prospective students desirous of seeking admission in IGNOU.

The coordinator of the LSC Dr Showket Ahmad Dar highlighted the achievements of the IGNOU in terms of enrollment during the last two decades.

Dr Showket also deliberated on the newly-launched ODL programmes such as Master of Arts (Urdu) (MAUD), Post Graduate Diploma in New Literatures in English (PGDNLEG), Post Graduate Diploma in American Literature (PGDAML), Post Graduate Diploma in British Literature (PGDBLT) and Post-Graduate Diploma in Book Publishing.

Coordinator also spoke about the initiatives that have been taken in recent times to streamline the functioning of LSCs across India.

Assistant Coordinator Dr Mukhtar Ahmad Dar spoke about the various programmes offered by IGNOU in online mode.

Dr Mukhtar also talked about facilities that are in place viz a viz digital content on the IGNOU e-content app, facilities for tele-education through Gyan Darshan channels and interactive radio counselling through Gyan Vani and FM radio stations.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Mr Mohd Syed Lone, assistant coordinator of the LSC.
