Free Medical Camp By 110 and 185 BN CRPF at Lethpora Pampore
Pulwama: A free medical camp was organised by 110 BN CRPF and 185 BN CRPF at Lethpora , Pampore area of Pulwama on 24th August where in People gathered in large numbers to get their health issues addressed.
The 110 BN and 185BN Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with the assistance of Dental Specialists from DHC Pampore organised a free medical health check-up camp and distributed free medicines under the Civic Action Program for Lethpora, Hathiwara and other nearby villages.
People including ladies, Children and senior citizens of the area gathered in large numbers for the health camp and more than 450 people took benefit of the camp.
The free camp was inaugurated by a Village elder of Lethpora presence of Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 Battalion, Sh Vinod Tandon 2iC 185 BN , Sudhir kumar 2iC and other officers of the unit .
Nearly 450 patients including large number of women along with their children were examined in the camp and were provided free medicines. A dentist for oral health check up and counseling was also available from govt. Hospital..
“CRPF runs various schemes for assisting the needy and merging with local population and for having better coordination with them and 110 BN and 185 BN CRPF are continuously organising awareness, community outreach, skill development and Free Medical Camps for the benefit of local population.
Today we have organised a joint free medical camp and consultancy for those who require medical assistance and special counseling and treatment for skin and dental related issues and you see a large number of people turned up in the programme, told Sh Sudhir 2iC 110 BN” Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 CRPF batallion told , adding that aim of such programmes is to have good relation with locals and also help them in difficult times. A Big team of Doctors including 2 lady Doctors and 3 Gents Doctors were present to address the health issues of the locals.
He said that it’s a continuous process and CRPF is periodically conducting community outreach program in one or other way. In past also such free medical camps were organised where free medicines, sanitizers and masks etc were distributed among locals. Such camps and community outreach programs will continue in future also,” he said.
Local people of these areas showed great enthusiasm and also appreciated the efforts and role of Commandant 110 battalion of CRPF and his team for creating a friendly environment in the area and developing good coordination among force and local public through their outreach programs and by organising such medical camps. They showed their happiness in the way 110 BN is assisting the locals and their positive approach in helping the surrounding localities and demanded for such programs frequently.. The ladies specially extended their gratitude to 185 BN and 110 BN CRPF for bringing such a big team of doctors at their door step and providing free skin and dental counseling to the locals and specially the services of lady doctors to address their health issues.
CRPF is making a big space in the hearts of Senior citizens, Ladies and Youths of the local area through its outreach programs under its present Command and our best wishes to 185 and 110 BN CRPF for its noble work, narrated a senior citizen of the area. The School children and teachers of Govt Higher secondary School Lethpora also took benifit of the camp and appreciated the efforts and initiative taken by CRPF and assisting the citizens of remote areas through its Community outreach programs.
