Fire Erupts in Lal Chowk Srinagar; Firefighter, Civilian Injured
Srinagar, Jun 24 : A fire has broken out in a shopping complex in Regal Lane of Lal Chowk area in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, official sources said.
They said that a fire broke out in a two-storeyed shopping complex around 10:30 AM.
“The F&ES Department was intimated which reached the site to douse off the flames”, they said adding during the rescue operation a firefighter and a civilian were Injured.
When contacted, a F&ES Department official confirmed about the injury to its firefighter namely Gulzar Ahmad and the civilian during the rescue operation. “The fire is largely under control”, the official further said. (GNS)
