Encounter underway in Jammu’s Sunjwan

Srinagar, Apr 22 : An encounter broke out between millitants and security forces in Sunjwan area of Jammu in the wee hours today, officials said here.

An official said that gunfight started between security forces and militants after cordon and search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in Sunjwan area.

He said that two militants are believed to be trapped in the encounter.

Notably, encounter in the area broke out two days ahead of the PM Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Jammu’s Samba. (KNS)
