Encounter Breaks Out in Srinagar’s Ishbar Area
Srinagar, Nov 10: An encounter erupted between terrorists and security forces in the Ishbar area of Srinagar district, Central Kashmir, early Sunday morning.
According to sources with the Press Trust of Kashmir, the confrontation began when a joint team of security forces launched a cordon and search operation following specific intelligence on the presence of terrorists in the vicinity.
As the security personnel approached the suspected hideout, the terrorists opened fire, prompting the forces to retaliate and triggering an encounter.
Initial reports indicate that two to three terrorists may be trapped in the area. The operation is ongoing, and further updates are awaited.
