Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi Hands Over Mandate Letters to BJP Candidates in South Kashmir
Anantnag, Aug 26: BJP National Executive Member and senior party leader Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi handed over mandate letters to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates from South Kashmir in a notable event held at the BJP office in Anantnag today. She was accompanied by former MLC and senior party leader Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, along with other party members.
The event was marked by loud sloganeering and a warm welcome for Dr. Andrabi as she arrived to present the mandate letters. The selected candidates include Mohammad Rafiq Wani (Anantnag West), Advocate Syed Wajahat (Anantnag), Sofi Yousuf (Sirgufwara-Bijbehara), Vir Saraf (Shangus-Anantnag), Javed Ahmad Qadiri (Shopian), and Arshid Bhat (Rajpora).
Speaking at the event, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the BJP’s commitment to peace, prosperity, and development in Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “BJP is in the fray in J&K on the agenda of peace, prosperity, and development ensured by Modiji. We are proud of our achievements and are contesting to bring about a change in the political scenario of J&K,” she stated.
Addressing the media, Dr. Andrabi expressed confidence in the widespread public support for BJP across the region. She highlighted the party’s consistent stance, stating, “We are the only political party that cannot be accused of double speak. It is because of BJP that we are now living in a peaceful atmosphere where our youth are not forced into suicidal actions anymore. BJP has dismantled the sinister nexus between separatists and their pseudo mainstream political leaders.”
Dr. Andrabi also criticized the claims of dynastic politicians, accusing them of exploiting the youth and nurturing violence and divisions for decades. She noted, “It sounds like a crude joke when we hear dynasts claiming that they will resolve people’s problems. Problem creators are shamelessly trying to deceive the public once again with manifestos aimed at dividing people and creating unrest in J&K.”
The event concluded with Dr. Andrabi congratulating the nominated candidates and wishing them success in the upcoming elections.
