District information office Anantnag remains headless since February 2023

Anantnag: The District information office Anantnag is headless from the last seven months here in Anantnag district. Sources said that the Department runs headless and the Government has not initiated any step to appoint permanent District Information officer for the district.

According to the official sources, the last DIO District information officer Anantnag, who was heading the department, was transfered in February 2023, but his replacement is yet to come. The charge of DIO Anantnag has been  given to the other official and the District lacks permanent official.

“The officials were busy with the yatra duty, the GAD has already transfered various officials, within one week the DIO Anantnag will be fulfilled and an official will take the charge of DIO Anantnag”, informed an official to Arising state wishing anonymity.

Meanwhile,talking to Arising state ,Arif Rasheed a reporter ,working with regional media said, “due to the headless official   of the  department in Anantnag ,we lack information regarding the VIP visits, neither we receive any press release of the development in Anantnag district”.
