DDC recounting: Fight between party workers creates panic in counting hall in khanabal Anantnag

Anantnag 05,February: After the District Magistrate Anantnag Anshul Garg had issued recounting of DDC polls at Larnoo block in South Kashmir’s Anantnag District  a tussle between two-party workers Gupkar Alliance and Independent candidates created panic inside the counting hall here in South kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

According to sources the party workers fought with each other inside the counting hall on some issue that left the police set in motion.

The larnoo block Seat is already won by a PDP candidate namely Khalida Begam by a margin of 7 votes however, the independent candidate Sajida Begam had alleged rigging in the previous election.

Meanwhile, sources said that the contesting  Candidates are real brothers and both had couched their wives to contest the DDC election at Larnoo block. One of the candidates is representing PAGD  and another contesting as an independent candidate.

Talking to Arising state a police official while confirming the incident said that the recounting is going on at khanabal Anantnag. The party workers had fought with each other on some issue inside the counting hall however, police swung into action, and recounting process is smoothly going on at the time when this report was filed.
