DC holds interaction with Chairman, Vice-Chairman and other DDC members in Pulwama

Pulwama, 29 March: In first of its kind and to acquaint the newly DDC members with the functioning of the Government, district administration Pulwama holds an interactive session between the public representatives and the officers of different departments.

District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary, while interacting with the DDC members said that the motive behind the interaction is to build an interface so that the public representatives and officers work in synergy besides minimising the gaps in governance.

He said that the recent elections have been a watershed in the realm of democratic decentralisation and newly elected members are the eyes and ears of the Adminstation.

Meanwhile officers of different departments particularly of rural developmental had one on one interaction with the DDC members who were thoroughly acquainted with various government flagship Programmes, welfare schemes besides schemes of rural development and public works.

The DDC members also brought several the issues of public importance in the notice of Officers Viz road connectivity, basic public amenities, health care etc.

Syed Bari Andrabi, Chairperson Pulwama and Mukhtiar Band Vice Chairperson, DDC Pulwama were present.

During the interaction Additional District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Assistant Commissioner Pulwama, and other officers participated in the interaction.
