CRPF organises Awantipora Volleyball Championship

Pulwama: Awantipora volleyball championship 2023 organised by 130 Bn CRPF in association with Govt Polytechnic College, Awantipora finished on Wednesday at polytechnic college campus, with great colour, zeal and enthusiasm.

Total sixteen teams of different tehsils and colleges of Pulwama district fought for a golden trophy in a three days tournament. Government Polytechnic Pulwama volley ball club beat Ladhoo Tigers in a well fought final. Students of local schools performed local dance in a colourful cultural programme during closing ceremony.

SSP Awantipora, Sh Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, OSD JKBTE Mrs Samra Sakeel, Commandant 180 Bn CRPF and other dignitaries graced the occasion with their presence along with a large crowd of students and local population.

Awards to winner and runner up team was presented by chief guest Sh Rajeev Yadav, Commandant 130 Bn who emphasised the role of sports in overall development of local youths and showed his commitment that CRPF will keep encouraging the youths with more such events.
