Cloudbursts Trigger Flash Floods in Gurez, Beerwah, Tangmarg; No Loss of Life Reported
Srinagar, July 21: Multiple cloudbursts triggered flash floods in parts of North Kashmir on Tuesday, causing damage to property and infrastructure in Gurez, Beerwah and Tangmarg areas, officials said.
According to officials, the worst-hit area was Zedgay in Gurez Valley, where flash floods caused widespread destruction. However, there were no reports of any loss of life or injuries.
Soon after the incidents, rescue and assessment teams were rushed to the affected areas to assess the damage and extend necessary assistance to the affected residents.
Authorities said the situation is being closely monitored, while efforts are underway to restore normalcy in the affected areas. Further details are awaited. (Agencies)
