Clarification on News Reports Regarding LPG Refill Booking Timelines

The government has issued a clarification dismissing recent reports and social media claims about changes in LPG refill booking timelines. In a statement released the authorities said that no revisions have been made to the existing system.

The clarification came after claims circulated that new timelines had been introduced, including 45 days for PMUY connections, 25 days for non-PMUY single bottle users, and 35 days for double bottle connections. The government termed these reports as misleading and incorrect.

The current LPG refill booking timelines remain unchanged—25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, regardless of the type of connection.

Citizens have been urged not to believe or share such misinformation and to avoid panic booking. The government also reassured the public that adequate LPG stocks are available across the country, and there is no need for concern.(PIB)
