Civic action Program organised by IRP-23 BN in Lethpora Pulwama

Awantipora, 25 March: J&K Police IRP-23″ Battalion organized a Civic Action Programme under Public outreach on empowerment of local cottage industries under the event Azadi Ka Amrit MAHAOTSAV at its Headquarters Lethpora Pulwama on Friday.

During the programme General Manager District Industries & Commerce District Pulwama, Tehsildar Awantipora local Bat Industrialists Saffron Growers, Sarpanches/Panches and other respectables of village Barsoo and Lethpora including prominent villagers participated the function.

Atul Sharma-SSP JKPS Commandant IRP-23″ Battalion apprised the industrialists about the various aspects of Police outreach to help them in making their business especially and life largely smooth and fruitful. He further added that under CAP, Public outreach programme, Police try to help in generation of employment to youth.

Aijaz Ahmad Malik SP Dy. Commandant IRP-23 Bn emphasized upon and elaborated about the establishment local cottage industries like weaving of carpets, establishing of Khadi and village units, Stone carving. Bat manufacturing units and other area specific units for which Government of J&K is providing financial assistance to empower rural youth.

He added that J&K Police would always be in first time to help in generation of employment and engagement of youth in fruitful and other earning means. Local Bat industrialists raised the concern about gradually diminishing of Willow and the area hailing from village Jawbhera to village Lethpora be notified for manufacturing units. Hilal Ahmad Reshi Industries and Commerce officer also spoke on the occasion.
