Citizens Council Tral demands approval of Pahalgam rail track via Tral
Pulwama: The Citizens Council (NGO) Tral on Monday appealed raily authorities to ensure the approval of Pahalgam rail track via Tral.
In a statement, the members of council, while appealing the officials of northern railways, stated that project report of new railway track was drafted earlier by railway team from Awantipora to Pahalgam via Tral Bhatnoor.
They said that, “It has come to knowledge of Citizens Council Tral that Railways authorities have another track project under consideration. We people of sub district Tral with one voice appeal to General Manger Northern Railways, who is presently in Kashmir, to approve Pahalgam rail track via Tral.”
“Firstly two lac people of sub district Tral will get railway facilities, and secondly this will be shortest rail track to Pahalgam via Tral,” the members said.
Meanwhile, Citizens Council Tral Chairman Farooq Trali also appealed LG, Chief Secretary, Div.Com Kashmir, General Manger Northern Railways, DDC Pulwama and ADC Tral to take cognizance of their demand, and ensure early approval for the project.
