Bear holed up in mosque, rescued by wild life team

A black bear was holed up in a Mosque at Gong village of Tral on Wednesday evening. A rescue team of wildlife was sent to capture the said bear which had entered a local mosque probably being chased by local residents..The locals spotted the bear in a local mosque.

Wildlife Range Office Iqbal Khursheed told Arising State that an operation was launched by the wildlife teams from Tral & Khangund ranges, to chase the bear hiding in the mosque . The team managed to tranquilize the bear avoiding any cause of harm as a result,  to the people. Witnesses said that soon after the bear was caught, the residents breathed a sigh of relief and appreciated the efforts of the wildlife department for quick action. An official said that the rescue operation is over now.
