Aru Tourist resort gets mobile connectivity, villagers joyful.

Anantnag 05,2020: Aru Pahalgam,  a remote yet famous tourist place of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district is now connected with mobile connectivity.

Aru, which is about 15 km away from Pahalgam, is surrounded by lush green forests and lies in the upper reaches of Pahalgam. Aru, one of the remotest areas in Anantnag district comprises about 90 households.

The Residents of this forest area have been demanding phone connectivity for years and finally, after a long wait of 17 years earlier, when BSNL was launched by former  Prime minister  Atal Bihari Vajpai in 2003,in J&K.

While speaking to Arising State an official said that a mobile tower by BSNL Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd was installed in the area and it was made functional a few days back to provide mobile and internet connectivity to the villagers.

”Villagers can now stay connected with the world through voice calls and internet connectivity”, official said.

Aru Pahalgam is very famous for its scenic beauty however, the area lacked mobile phone connectivity for decades.

Meanwhile, locals were seen joyful and thanked the local administration for their hard work in providing mobile services in this remote area.
