Arms, ammunition recovered from surrendered militant in Tral

Forces today recovered arms and ammunition from a surrendered militant in Tral.

According to a police official, a joint CASO was launched by the police along with Army 42 RR and CRPF 180 Bn at the house of surrendered Militant Mohmad Amin Malik (40), son of Abdul Ahad Malik, resident of  Nagbal Machama Tral.

During the search operation, forces recovered binocular,12 bore rifle – (unlicensed),10 rounds of 12 bore, suspected explosive materials (Gun powder approx 50 gms, bleaching powder like substance-about 1 kg, iron/steel ball bearings-approx 250- 300gms), 9 feature mobiles phones, Combat pouch, Weapon sling, the police official added.

Malik had surrendered in 2004. Police registered a case investigation taken up, he said.
