Arising State Impact: ADC Tral visits Sofigund, says ‘under construction road to be completed by the end of this year’

Tral, 28 April: Following a news report titled “Rockslide on the under-construction road giving sleepless nights to Sofigund residents”, carried by Arising State, a few days back, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral on Wednesday visited Sofigund village of Tral to review the situation there.

During his visit, ADC Tral, Shabir Ahmad Raina said that the project shall be completed by the end of this year.

He said that he has already urged the concerned officials to ensure protection on slide portion, and earth cutting on remaining portions.

“I have directed concerned officers to ensure protection on slide portion, demarcation, earth cutting, metalling, and all other steps to avoid further loss. The road will be completed by the end of this year with macadamization,” Raina said.

The ADC was accompanied by Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), R&B Tral, Tehsildar Aripal, and other officials.
