Anantnag Encounter: 2 unidentified militants killed: IGP Kashmir

Two unidentified militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in the Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday morning.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that that two unidentified militants have been killed so far, while the operation is on in the area.

Earlier a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF had launched a cordon and search operation following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The security forces zeroed in on the suspected spots, hiding militants opened fire, which was retaliated to, triggering in an encounter.
