An abandoned Castle
These parachronistic walls
A century before, erected
Of colossal deodar timber
Sawed into oblong panels,
Stillstand, witness
To the memories of the past, afresh yet.
An abandoned castle of wood
Once a school and seminary it was
A shop, store and the home as well
Now gathering the layers of dust.
Yet, passing through countless seasons
Turned dead only to offer lively glimpses
As being dwelled by the colorful birds
In the nest who rest,
At dawn with each day
Peaceful is to listen – indubitably
Those melodious chirps of the jay.
