After Brief Spell Of Snow, Weather To Remain Dry till Dec 20

Jammu, Dec 12: After a brief spell of snowfall in various parts of Kashmir valley, the weather is expected to remain dry until December 20, the meteorological department said here.

In the previous night and throughout the day today, light snowfall was received in parts of Shopian, Pulwama, and Baramulla, as well as the upper areas of Anantnag, Budgam, and Bandipora. 

The upper areas like Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Tangmarg, Gurez, and the Zojila Pass received moderate snowfall that led to the closure of Srinagar-Leh highway. The Bandipora-Gurez road and Mughal Road were too shut due to snow.

The Meteorological Department has predicted an improvement in weather conditions, with dry weather expected till December 20.
