Poonch: Ulema Ahl-e-Sunnat Jamia Anwar-ul-Uloom Poonch and Central Muslim Council Poonch today condemned the act of blasphemy in which a report circulated on social media in which derogatory remarks were used against Prophet Muhammed(SAW).
In a statement issued to the press today, Ulema Ahl-e-Sunnat Jamia Anwar-ul-Uloom Poonch and Central Muslim Council Poonch strongly condemned the blasphemous words used against the Holy Prophet ( S.A.W). The Ulema demanded stern punishment against those involved in the blasphemous act of yesterday. The Ulema including Majid Madani Maulana Syed Fadad Hussain Shah, Hafiz Arif Ganai, Maulana Tasveer Raza, Maulana Syed Fazal Hussain, and Khalid Hussain urged the lieutenant governor and centre government to take serious notice of the act and punish the perpetrators according to the legal law of the country. .They said, ‘for a Muslim, there is nothing more important than the respect and honour of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.’. They further said that it is the moral duty of all people irrespective of their religion, to raise voice against such acts that hurt one’s sentiments and harm brotherhood and communal harmony in the society. The perpetrators of blasphemy should be dealt sternly and meantime they urged people to maintain peace and unity and discourage any kind of violence at this testing time.
