School Timings to Change from Monday Amid Scorching Heat: Education Minister Sakina Itoo

Srinagar : Amid the ongoing heatwave, Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday announced a change in school timings, effective from the coming Monday.

While the exact timings were not disclosed, the minister stated that details would be issued through an official order shortly.

“We have received numerous calls from parents requesting a change in school timings. After considering the situation, we have decided to shift to early morning hours starting Monday,” Itoo said.

She also supported the suggestion that morning assemblies be conducted in shaded areas or inside large halls wherever possible to ensure students’ safety in extreme weather conditions.
