GDC Tral Organises Seminar on “USE OF IOT TOOLS IN ZOOLOGY”

Pulwama: In Connection with Celebration of Digital Initiative Programme, a Seminar was organized on 2nd September 2023 on the theme “ Use Of IOT Tools In Zoology” at Government Degree College Tral. The Programme was organized by the Department of Zoology.

The programme began with the Welcome address by Dr. Shaheen Khurshid, (Head of the department of Zoology) GDC Tral. He welcomed all the participants and expressed his gratitude to Principal Prof. (Dr.) Mushtaq Ahmad Malik for encouraging the organizers in organizing the event.

Dr. Shaheen gave a brief introduction about the significance of IOT tools in Zoology. He touched upon topics such as compressive sensing, reliability of data quality, network aware nodes, and environmental concerns related to IoT.

Dr. Suhail Jeelani (Lecturer Zoology) talked on the topic “Biosciences and IoT”, in which,he elaborated the data handling and its process in biosciences. The talk was followed by presentations by students : Noureen Kour of B.Sc. 5th Semester & Junaid Ahmad Najar of B.Sc. 6th Semester.

The presenters deliberated on multiple topics related to different aspects of IOT. Vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Nazima Maqbool (Lecturer Zoology).
