Mega Plantation Drive by 110 BN CRPF Lethpora on World Environment Day
Pulwama: 110 Battalion CRPF Lethpora organized a mega Plantation drive at its HQ , company locations and Galender village of Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on World Environment Day today.
The plantation drive was inaugurated by Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 Bn, in presence of Dy Commandant Suresh Shishpal and Asstt Comdt Sandeep, Deepak, Avinash, Amzad and other officers by taking a Pledge and by planting a Deodar plant.
Nearly 1000 saplings of coniferous plants were planted in the outpost locations and Galender area, alongside NH 44 and along the bank’s of River Jhelum in Galender area apart from the campus of 110 BN CRPF Lethpora.
The plantation drive was organised with the support and assistance of Social Forestry department Pulwama, while a large no of social Forestry personnel along with Forest officer Javaid Ahmad also participated in the plantation drive with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Talking to media persons, Commandant Yogesh purohit narrated that it is the aim of CRPF to make the surroundings clean, green and healthy where ever it is deployed by organizing such plantation drives from time to time.
He also narrated the benefits of plantation and appealed to all to plant maximum trees for creating a green, clean and healthy environment and making a happier future.
The efforts and initiative of 110 BN CRPF in making the surroundings green and clean was appreciated by the social Forestry officials and the local population and assured for providing all assistance in future also to 110 BN CRPF in their goal to make the environment Green, Clean and Healthy.
