Poppy cultivation destroyed, one held at Dalwas

Ramban: Continuing its war against drugs, the Ramban Police, in case has arrested one person for cultivating Opium/Poppy illegally under the jurisdiction of *Police Station Chanderkote.* On receiving specific information regarding the cultivation of banned Opium/Poppy at Dhalwas a special team was constituted led by *Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary, SHO Police Station Chanderkote* and PSI Sunil Kumar who rushed to the spot and found one person cultivating Opium/Poppy on his private land at Dhalwas. The accused person has been identified as Jamyat ali son of Mir baz resident of Dhalwas , Ramban. The entire operation was conducted in the presence of *Executive Magistrate 1st Class Chanderkote Sh. Saif-Ullah Shah* and under the direct supervision of *SSP Ramban PD Nitya* and *Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma.* On the direction of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class the Opium/Poppy cultivation was destroyed immediately and a case *FIR 48/2021 U/S 8/18 NDPS Act* has been registered against the accused person. The Ramban Police has again made an appeal to the public to support police in its war against drugs and provide information to the nearest police station.
