4 Al-Badr militants killed in Shopian encounter 1 caught alive: IGP

Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar on Friday said four militants killed in shopian encounter. Among the four, Shakoor Ah Parray was also killed. Shakoor Ah Parray was SPO and later decamped with 4 AK47 rifles from Bijbehara joined militant outfit, Albadr, later recruited 10 youth to militant outfit, among the 10, 5 has been neutralized today, 3-4 are still active, in future operations we will either capture them or will be neutralized.
He also said The second militant killed today is Suhaib, the same militant who kidnapped the panch. We regret the killing of Panch. Besides Shakoor and suhaib, Two more militants have been killed and the weapons have been recovered, including 2Ak47 and 3 Pistols from them.
He further said We have also arrested one militant alive, he is going under interrogation. The Shakoor and his group were also involved in the kidnapping of the Security personel of CA battalion. We are collecting the details, whether kidnapped security men have been killed or alive.
This group was spread in south Kashmir, it’s a big achievement for us without any collateral damage. While answering to questions, IGP said, capturing a militant alive is a big success for us, whatever is left among the outfits will be neutralized soon, we also request parents to bring their wards back. We have also busted a hideout in Awanitpora, were ammunition in a huge quantity has been recovered. We are also providing security to the political workers, who are receiving threats. 150 militants have been killed so far.
