27.04 % turn out recorded in DDC polls in Anantnag

Anantnag,07 December: Under phase IV DDC Elections of DDC seats of Shahabad & Verinag polling concluded peacefully today recording a turnover of 27.04 %. Out of the total electors of 53318, 14419 votes were polled.

Pertinently a total number of 15 candidates; 06 for Verinag and 09 for Shahabad,were in the fray for Phase IV DDC elections.

Polling for Bye-elections for Panch & Sarpanch vacancies in these two blocks and for vacancies in Municipal Committee Dooru Verinag was also held.

To ensure free, fair, transparent, and peaceful polling elaborate arrangements were made by the District Administration under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag Mr.K.K.Sidha.
