2 more militants killed in Nowgam encounter, toll 3: Police

Srinagar, Mar 16 : Two more militants have been killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and security forces in Nowgam area of Srinagar district late last night, taking the toll to three, police said here.

An official said that encounter broke out in Nowgam locality last night.

He said that in the ensuing encounter one militant was killed in the morning today and later two more militants were killed.

The official said that three militants have been killed in the encounter and they belong to LeT outfit.

Earlier, IGP had said that militants involved in the killing of Sarpanch at Khanmoh were trapped in the encounter.
