Anantnag 14 December:   Mehbooba Mufti-led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) suffered yet another jolt as a  senior youth leader and hardcore worker quit the party on Monday. The candidate is in the fray to contest the DDC election against the PAGD including 11 candidates here in south Kashmir’s Anantnag Block.

While talking to reporters here in Anantnag, Imran Amin shah a senior and hard-core worker alleged that the PDP has always recruited and engaged their family members and relatives in every sector be it  J&K Bank or any other department in Jammu and Kashmir. The party has ignored its ground workers forcing them to quit the party.

Shah said that PDP has dashed Mufti Mohammad Syeed’s vision and that unscrupulous communal elements with mysterious character have taken over the party.

Putting our political career at stake we joined PDP, from the very first day of its formation with an aim to frustrate evil designs of communal and parochial elements but the party leadership has unfortunately abandoned Mufti sahibs agenda and betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Shah has been working with the PDP party for the last 18 years in Anantnag District and was known as the most senior and hardcore PDP worker. Shah is going to contest the DDC election as an independent candidate in the Anantnag block.

Shah alleged the PDP party of family rule in Jammu and Kashmir. Adding that the party has neglected its workers and accused the PDP of Nepotism.

Meanwhile, the seventh phase of the DDC and panchayat election is going to be held on 16 December in the Anantnag block, and 11 candidates including major party candidates are in the fray to contest the election in Anantnag.
